Bunty is a secondary character in Chicken Run. She's the "champion egg-layer" and group cynic who is the most skeptical of Ginger's escape plans.
Appearance[]
Bunty is a tall, wide, and burly maroon-coloured hen. Her hackle and thigh feather tips are light-pink. She wears a blue scrunchie around her neck which resembles a necklace. The pink crest on her head is styled as a flat top.
She is physically the largest out of all the chickens.

Bunty is known to be strong, and confident, yet she is sometimes aggressive.

In the ending of Chicken Run, there's a tree that says bunty+fowler which means Bunty may have a romantic relationship for Fowler.

- In the 2006 feature-length film, Flushed Away, also animated by Aardman, a hen closely resembling Bunty can be seen in the royal book.
- Bunty was originally going to be a pigeon.
- Inside one of the chicken coops in Chicken Run, a piece of a newspaper stuck to the wall has a picture of Bunty with the title 'Prized Egg Champion'.
- In Chicken Run, during the flight training scene, Bunty is seen doing her push-ups on one wing only.
- Imelda Staunton, Bunty's voice actress, appears in the Harry Potter film franchise as the character Dolores Umbridge.
