Fowler is the overarching protagonist in Chicken Run. He is a feisty elderly rooster who regularly prattles about his Royal Air Force experiences.

Appearance[]

Fowler is a blue-grey coloured rooster who stands slightly taller than the rest of the hens. His comb is a dull red and has grey tips. It's also long and hangs behind his head freely.

Personality[]

Fowler is the firm but fair cock of the walk. He enjoys reminiscing of his days in the Royal Air Force. He is a wise, tough-as-nails, knowledgeable, old rooster, who maintains order and discipline in the coop. He is also fatherly toward Ginger and all the other hens.

He is stern, assertive, cantankerous, and a little rough around the edges, but genuinely cares about his charge, and has a good heart, though it is hidden under his bad breath, bloodshot eyes, and generally gruff exterior.

Relationships[]

Mac- Mac and Fowler have a neutral relationship throughout the first movie and do not tend to have many interactions on screen. But after the escape from ‘Tweedy’s Farm’ Mac is seen kissing Fowler on the cheek, this interaction hints at romantic feelings from Mac.
