Molly is a hen who lives in the Chikin Sanctuary with the other chickens. She is the 11-year-old[1] daughter of Ginger and Rocky.
Appearance[]
Molly is light orange and has turquoise eyes, and a red and purple comb. She resembles both parents. She wears a green hat like her mother and a pink neckerchief with light pink polka dots round her neck.
When she was first hatched molly was yellow all over but had two purple feathers on the top of her head, her eyes were also bright blue, her neck and tail feathers had a purple tint to the end of them. When she was a toddler she was still yellow but had more feathers that were tinted yellow around her bottom, her beak grew lighter and another feather grew into the top of her head, they were no longer solid purple but now a purple and red blend, she also wore a tan bib and had only one tooth. When Molly grew older (around 5 or 6) she had now grown in her light orange colour and her comb was still a mixture of red and purple however the third was now a solid purple, she wore her neckerchief and her classic green hat, (both being to big for her but she made it work).

Personality[]
Molly has been shown to be a very playful, enthusiastic and adventurous 11-year-old. Her adventurous and fearless nature sometimes caused her to get into troubles, even as a little chick, but she has always been friendly and good-natured. Taking after both of her parents, Molly is highly independent, clever, proactive and slightly rebellious, but thanks to their (especially Ginger's) overprotective nature, she is quite naive and ignorant about the outside world.
Relationships[]
Ginger[]
Ginger is Molly's mother and the two are shown to have a very loving relationship, with Ginger doing anything she can to keep Molly safe. However, Ginger is clearly shown to be a bit too overprotective at first, mostly thanks to the trauma she has from being on Mrs. Tweedy's farm and is scared that Molly is too much like her.
As Molly's curiosity about the outside world grows, the two have an argument that leads Molly to leave the island, kicking off Ginger's rescue mission.
Over the course of the movie, the two reunite and rekindle their relationship, as Molly grows to understand why Ginger was so protective of her and Ginger learns to give Molly a bit more freedom and trust her.
Rocky[]
Rocky is Molly's father. Just like Ginger, Rocky loves Molly a lot and is very protective of her, but unlike Ginger, he seems to trust her a bit more, even calling Ginger out for being so overprotective at one point. Rocky is pretty much the "fun dad", as his laid back and charming nature lends itself to him being the one who cheers Molly up whenever she's feeling down.
Frizzle[]
Molly and Frizzle quickly become friends after Frizzle saves Molly's life and they realize that they have a lot in-common, specifically, their fun-loving natures and thirst for freedom and adventure.

Trivia[]
- Originally she would be male and her name would be Nobby (a referece to her uncle, ginger's little brother,discarted from the first film)
- She is 11 years old in the chicken lineage,that is,she is a young chick chicken.
